Meet the Administration

Head of School
Robert Aspen
I am thrilled to be joining the Juniper community as the new Head of School. I have been an educator in Durango for over 25 years, serving the past four years on the administrative team at Durango High School as their Intervention Coordinator. I have a Master of Arts in Teaching and taught English for many years, working with students from fifth to eighth grade, in addition to working several years as a guidance counselor. My wife and I moved here in 1999 from Alaska and raised our daughter here, who is now a sophomore at the University of Denver. Aside from education, I like to hike, bike, ski, travel, play music, and spend time with family and friends. I look forward to meeting everyone in the Juniper community and to making this school year the best one yet!
Meet the Administration

Assistant Head of School
Kristin Harmon
My name is Kristin Harmon and I am the Assistant Head of School at the Juniper School. I am so excited about this school year! I have lived in Durango for 28 years and consider this place home. I have raised my 18 year old son Cyrus here and we love being a part of the Durango community. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and truly love working with children. As we establish our relationship as partners in your child’s learning, I encourage you to feel free to contact me at any time so that we can start to build a strong connection. I consider it a privilege to work with you and your child!
